Good things are worth the wait. And fortunately, these good things aren’t just good– they’re GREAT! We are proud to present to you our top 13 Finalists for 2011/12 in the Canadian Short Screenplay Competition. These lucky scribes are all invited to attend the 2012 Yorkton Film Festival, where they will be festival accredited and nominees as part of the Golden Sheaf Awards Gala. One of these lucky writers will crowned May 26, 2012 as top scribe and be walking away with a cool $1,500 cash and the coveted Writers Block Crystal. Good luck to you all and congratulations to all of our quarter and semi finalists this year, what an amazing bunch of talents you have all proven to be.

Well, it’s been a year since we last trumpeted our flock of 57 top scripts of the year. This year, we’ve managed to restrain ourselves and limit it to 53 this year. Which has been a difficult task when you are brimming with submissions spilling over with talent and wonderful words that flow off the page. However, using some crazy logarithms very similar to how Google determines search ranks… we’ve narrowed the gaggle of script submissions down to the following flock of fifty-three.
