2012/13 Online Electronic Submission Form

  • You acknowledge that the screenplay you are submitting may contain characters, concepts and other material similar to characters, concepts and other material which the judges of the competition or their companies or Year of the Skunk Productions or their partners are currently developing/producing or are considering developing/producing. You agree that in consideration for their reviewing and perhaps discussing the submitted screenplay with you, you will not at any time assert or attempt any claim against The Canadian Short Screenplay Competition or Year of the Skunk Productions or any of the judges of the competition, sponsors or partners, or any other person connected with the competition with respect to any use of similar material in any project which is developed, produced, distributed, licensed or sold by all the above mentioned parties. The judges agree to make a reasonable good faith effort to protect the confidentiality of any original material contained in the work. You agree that should your screenplay place amongst the top 3 winning scripts in the competition you will, in good faith, execute an Option and Purchase Agreement with Year of the Skunk Productions for your screenplay to be produced by Year of the Skunk Productions. You agree that should your screenplay place amongst the top 3 winning scripts you will/may be called upon to write further revisions with our script editor/producer/director, without further remuneration or compensation. I confirm that I have read and understood this Release and the Rules and Regulations of the Canadian Short Screenplay Competition and by checking this box below, I agree to be bound by the terms contained within the CSSC website. Early Bird Deadline* is October 31st at 11:59PM PST
Submissions made before October 31st at 11:59PM
are subject to an Administration Fee of CAD $35.00.

Half-time deadline* is November 30th at 11:59PM PST
Submissions made after the Early Bird Deadline (October 31st at 11:59PM)
are subject to an Administration Fee of CAD $45.00.

Final Deadline* is December 31st at 11:59PM PST
Submissions made after the Half-time deadline (November 30th at 11:59PM)
are subject to an Administration Fee of CAD $55.00.

I-Missed-The-Deadline deadline* is January 31st at 11:59PM PST
Submissions made after the Final Deadline (December 31st at 11:59PM)
are subject to an Administration Fee of CAD $75.00.

All entries must be received on or prior to the deadline in order to be eligible for the reduced rate. All I-Missed-The-Deadline submissions must be electronically time-stamped on or before the deadline to be considered for competition. I-Missed-The-Deadline submissions will be accepted by online entry ONLY. Competition is not responsible for lost, late, missing, incomplete or misdirected submissions. Invalid or incomplete submissions will be disqualified (entry fee is not returnable). Late submissions will be automatically entered into the next year of competition.
