About CSSC

The Canadian Short Screenplay Competition, established in 2008, has been hailed as the premiere screenwriting contest for short film scripts that produces films from the winning entries received in competition. CSSC is the single-most competitive, prestigious, short screenplay festival in Canada, two-time winner of the Canadian Weblog Award for Literature and Writing, a champion for screenwriters everywhere and a launching pad for writers’ professional careers; winners are announced as part of the Golden Sheaf Awards gala as part of the oldest film festival in North America, the Yorkton Film Festival, in addition to being posted for recognition online amongst the finalists, semi-finalists and quarter finalists.
