Welcome to the official site of the CSSC
The Canadian Short Screenplay Competition, established in 2008, has been hailed as the premiere screenwriting contest for short film scripts that produces short film scripts from the contest winning entries. CSSC, having produced 3 short films to date, is the single-most competitive, prestigious, short screenplay festival open to writers worldwide, a champion for literacy and screenwriters everywhere and a launching pad for writers’ professional careers; winners are announced as part of the Golden Sheaf Awards gala as part of the oldest film festival in North America, the Yorkton Film Festival.
